â€Å"Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day? Were you in the yard with your wife and children, or working on some stage in L.A.? Did you stand there in shock at the sight of that black smoke risin’ against that blue sky? Did you shout out in anger, in fear for your neighbor or did you just sit down and cry?† (Jackson 2002) A common question asked by Americans is where we were when they heard of the events of September 11, 2001. The question asked next is, â€Å"What they did do after they heard of the news?†. This song told everything everyone was thinking and feeling on that horrible day in 2001. Most all American’s can remember exactly where they were, who they were with, and what time they heard about the terrorist attacks in 2001. On September 11, 2001 the country of America was changed forever. A terrible act of terrorism carried out by nineteen terrorists, the leader of them being Al Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden. The Tuesday morning started out as any normal busy American day. At the World Trade Center thousands of people were going about their morning heading to offices of the building surrounding the twin towers. Tower One and Tower Two combined had 220 floors, 110 floors for each tower.
